Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Barrios AI website and services (the "Service") operated by Barrios AI, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Account and Authentication

• You must create an account using third-party authentication providers (e.g., Google, GitHub).
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and any activities that occur under it.
• No sharing accounts or using the Service for unauthorized purposes.
• If you are signed in and opt in to a notification list (for example, book releases or certification updates), you authorize us to use the email address associated with your account for that purpose. Notification emails are optional; you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails or by contacting support@barrios.ai.

2. Purchases and Payments

• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store payment information.
• Digital book purchases, bundles, and workshops are non-refundable, including purchases made to qualify for certification.
• You may not resell, reproduce, or use any part of the books for other books, courses, or content without permission.

3. Certification Program

• The AI Musician certification requires ownership of all four books in the AI Musician Track and submission of a capstone project. Capstone submissions open once all four books are released (October 15, 2026).
• Capstone projects are reviewed personally and subjectively. Owning all four books and submitting a capstone does not guarantee that the capstone will pass review or that a certificate will be issued.
• The certification is a private credential offered by Barrios AI, LLC. It is not accredited by any government or educational institution and is not a guarantee of employment, income, or any specific outcome.

4. Service Availability and Termination

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
• In the event of discontinuation, we will provide a link to a GitHub repository containing your purchased books, accessible via the email used to sign up.
• We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion for violations of these Terms.

5. User Conduct

• You agree not to use the Service for illegal activities or to violate any laws.
• If you join our community channels (such as Slack or Discord), you agree to behave respectfully and not to harass other members, spam, or share content you purchased with people who have not purchased it.
• No warranties are made regarding the accuracy of book content or any damages incurred from using the books.

6. Limitation of Liability

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms without notification. The latest version is always available on our website.
