Real Musicianship. Ethical AI.
Live, hands-on sessions for schools, conservatories, and teams, delivered online over Google Meet. Every workshop is built around your group's priorities, so if none of the four below is quite right, the same material can be shaped into something that is.

Live Workshop: AI for Everyone
with Jonathan Barrios
Barrios AI customizes each live Google Meet workshop to align with your priorities, whether that's applied strategy, technical deep dives, or focused skill-building. We collaborate with you and your group to design a hands-on session built for immediate traction and long-term impact. Our workshops apply AI across disciplines and give professionals, educators, and musicians the context and tools to apply it with purpose in their musical work. Each session is designed to deepen practical understanding and open new creative possibilities.
Live Workshop: AI for Educators
with Jonathan Barrios
Designed for those shaping how others learn, this workshop explores how AI can support curriculum architecture, instructional design, and personalized adaptation across learning contexts. It prepares participants to work with AI in ways that go beyond automation or content generation. Through the workshop and companion book, participants gain the foundation to evaluate, integrate, and begin building toward advanced applications like agentic systems, and multimodal instructional design.
Live Workshop: AI for Musicians
with Jonathan Barrios
Designed for musicians, this workshop shows how music theory, mathematics, and AI intersect to fuel creativity. Participants learn three generations of AI through the lens of software—Software 1.0 (traditional programming), Software 2.0 (deep learning), and Software 3.0 (natural language programming in plain English)—and how each maps to practice, composition, and performance. Through hands-on labs in Python and Google Colab with modern AI models, you'll start from basics: write simple programs, turn clear prompts into playable material, and apply AI to composition. You'll also build a from-scratch Python music classifier app; no prior coding required—everything builds up gradually.
Live Workshop: AI for Guitarists
with Jonathan Barrios
Designed for guitarists, this workshop explores how AI can be used to generate, transform, and structure sound. Participants learn how generative audio models respond to different types of input and how to apply the tools in composition and performance. The focus is on creative control, experimenting with agentic programming, and guiding AI in ways that align with musical intent. The workshop's companion book includes extended examples, workflows, and techniques for integrating AI into guitar playing and musicmaking.
