Live Workshop: AI for Musicians
with Jonathan Barrios
By the end of this workshop, you'll understand how music theory, mathematics, and AI intersect—and how to use that connection to fuel your creativity. We'll explore three generations of software thinking: Software 1.0 (traditional programming), Software 2.0 (deep learning), and Software 3.0 (natural language programming). Using tools like Python, Google Colab, and modern AI models, you'll learn basic programming, how to apply AI to music composition, and how to build your own Python-based AI music classifier app from scratch. You don't need prior coding experience—everything starts from the basics and builds up gradually.
